Performance evaluation and enhancement of apodized fiber Bragg grating for dispersion compensation

The apodization function has a significant impact on the state of art group delay, dispersion compensation, and acceptable decrease in side lobes spectrum Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) reflection. Accordingly, grating length would be considered backbone parameter order to achieve distinguishable performance. Here, utilization influence presence FBG is compensator. In addition, we have implemented tuned uniform-apodized methodology according various functions. Common functions been studied tested effectively. Experimental results show that proposed raised cosine apodized scored highest reflectivity with 50% reduction lobe level narrowest bandwidth among all Moreover, simulations for this were performed lengths grating. It demonstrated reflection value fixed at 100% greater than or equal 28 mm minimum realized.
